The PlayStation Store has undergone more unusual changes. In North America, several high-profile games from Sony’s own development studios have suddenly disappeared from the standard search results. The affected titles include *God of War III Remastered*, *Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection*, and *Knack 2*. These aren’t obscure titles but landmark releases in PlayStation history. Sony has not issued an official statement, but early speculation points to an unusual pricing error. German players are now wondering whether similar changes are coming to their region.
Three well-known PlayStation games are affected
The first reports came from users who were searching for specific older games in the North American PlayStation Store and noticed that several titles suddenly no longer appeared as usual.
The selection is notable. God of War III Remastered launched in 2015 on PlayStation 4, bringing the Greek Kratos saga’s finale to current hardware. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, also from 2015, compiles the first three Naughty Dog adventures.
Knack 2 launched in 2017 and continued the family-friendly action-adventure series from Sony Japan Studio. All three games sit in Sony’s own publishing portfolio.
That’s precisely why their sudden disappearance from certain store searches has caused surprise. Sony has not announced that the titles will be permanently removed from digital sales.
An unusual pricing error could be behind this
Particularly noteworthy is a possible connection to God of War III Remastered. Reports indicate that the title was briefly listed in the Mexican PlayStation Store for roughly 50 U.S. cents, far below the usual retail price.
That price suggests a significant error, raising the possibility that Sony temporarily removed the listings to correct it. However, this remains speculation; the company has not confirmed that the discount caused the games’ disappearance.
It also remains unclear why several different titles would be affected in this case. It would therefore be premature to speak of a targeted removal of older PlayStation games.
What happens to games that have already been purchased?
The good news for owners of affected titles is reassuring: reports indicate that anyone who already owns the games can still access them through their library and re-download them.
The current issue appears to affect discoverability and the option to repurchase titles in certain regions, not access to already-owned games. Digital buyers of God of War III Remastered, Uncharted, or Knack 2 should not assume their licenses have vanished.
Physical PS4 discs are unaffected, and backward compatibility lets owners play them on a compatible PlayStation 5. However, Sony has not provided comprehensive confirmation for all regions and accounts.
In Germany, the situation looks different so far.
The German PlayStation Store presents a different picture. God of War III Remastered still has a product page priced at €19.99, and Knack 2 remains listed with a buy option.
This means the North American situation cannot simply be applied to Germany. Availability may vary by region, account, and store. A searchable product listing alone does not prove that a purchase will complete smoothly on every console or account.
So far, there is no reliable evidence that Sony has permanently discontinued the three games worldwide. If you want to buy one of these titles, visit its German product page directly rather than relying on the search function.
Uncharted Already Caused Confusion Last Week
This isn’t the first oddity involving Sony’s older games. On October 8, we reported that a user’s copy of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection had suddenly disappeared from their PlayStation App wishlist.
For a time, the player could not find the title through standard search either. Other users, however, could still access the collection. Our article “PlayStation App Suddenly No Longer Displays Popular Uncharted Game” already addressed this unusual behavior.
It is unclear whether the two incidents share the same cause, but the fresh reports underscore how quickly a missing store listing can spark concern, especially among players who worry that older titles may eventually vanish from digital sales.
Digital games remain a key topic of discussion
This situation comes at a time when Sony is continuing to make changes to its digital distribution platforms.
In July, the company announced it would gradually shut down the PlayStation Store on PS3 and PS Vita. In Germany, that change is scheduled for July 2027. Sony has stated that already-purchased content will remain re-downloadable. Nevertheless, the move underscores that digital distribution is not guaranteed to last.
In principle, individual titles can be removed from sale—for example, because of expiring licenses or other business decisions. However, a missing store listing does not prove that delisting is imminent. In this case, it may simply be a temporary technical or commercial glitch.
When will the games return?
Sony has not issued an official statement or a timeline for restoring the listings, nor has it confirmed any permanent removal. For now, PlayStation owners have no reason to believe the three classics will disappear.
The North American reports are noteworthy because they involve two major PlayStation franchises—God of War III Remastered and Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.
If Sony corrects the alleged pricing error or issues a statement, the situation should be clarified quickly. Until then, here’s what we know: The issues appear to be regionally limited so far, purchased games remain accessible according to current reports, and permanent removal has not been confirmed.
