GTA 6 Leaker Threatens to Release the Entire Game, but His Cryptocurrency Crashes

The controversy surrounding GTA 6 has taken a surprising turn. After the controversial account CyberLeek announced its intention to allegedly release the entire game, including the full story, new figures regarding the associated cryptocurrency reveal a very different trend. Instead of the demanded market capitalization of $30 million, the value was most recently only around $2.7 million, according to GamesRadar. The token earlier peaked at roughly $7.6 million, but it has not sustained that level. Despite fresh gameplay footage emerging in recent days, the extra attention has not yet boosted the cryptocurrency’s value.

CyberLeek Falls Well Short of Its $30 Million Goal

Just this past weekend, CyberLeek made headlines with an unusual demand. The account claimed to have a complete development version of GTA 6 that lets players experience the entire story through the end credits, and said it would release that material once its cryptocurrency hit a $30 million market cap.

The threat drew attention because Rockstar Games is on the verge of releasing its next major open-world game. Now, however, it’s clear how far CyberLeek is from its own target.

GamesRadar checked the token’s price on OpenSea and found that it briefly reached a market cap of about $7.6 million before dropping to roughly $2.7 million at the time of this report.

That is only nine percent of the required $30 million, meaning CyberLeek still needs about $27.3 million—or 91 percent—to meet its goal. These figures are a snapshot: for a small, speculative cryptocurrency, valuations can swing sharply in a short period.

Why a $30 Million Market Cap Isn’t an Actual Payment

It’s important to clarify this unusual claim. According to its own statements, CyberLeek is not demanding a direct transfer of $30 million. Instead, the cryptocurrency is supposed to reach a calculated total value of $30 million.

Simply put, market capitalization multiplies the current token price by the number of tokens in circulation. A rising price inflates this figure, but it doesn’t prove equivalent cash investment.

Nor can that figure be automatically converted into cash. With smaller coins, modest trading volume can still trigger sharp price swings, and limited liquidity means selling large positions can pressure the price.

The brief jump to $7.6 million does not prove CyberLeek controlled that sum, nor does the later drop reveal how much individual buyers lost. Above all, this volatility underscores how uncertain speculative valuations can be.

New GTA 6 videos failed to sustain the price

The timing of the drop is notable. CyberLeek had just released new alleged gameplay footage on October 8 after a lengthy hiatus. The roughly 25-minute video showed various activities with Jason, new scenes, and hints at more features. Shorty after, additional footage featuring Lucia appeared.

These clips showcased melee combat, an ATM, and a skydive. We covered the release today in our article “GTA 6 Leak Shows Lucia and New Gameplay Details.” The videos refocused attention on the account, yet the linked cryptocurrency still could not hold its interim peak.

However, this volatility makes it impossible to know why individual investors bought or sold their tokens, or how many tokens CyberLeek still holds. The only certainty is that the high-profile releases were not enough to sustain the required market capitalization.

The threat against Rockstar remains unproven

The financial developments do not, for the time being, change the actual claim. CyberLeek continues to claim that it possesses a fully playable version of GTA 6.

There is no independent proof of that claim. The released clips show parts of what appears to be a development build, but they do not confirm that all missions, cutscenes, or the ending are complete. Development builds often include unfinished sections or special tools that never make it to retail.

Showing a few features or locations does not prove that a complete, coherent campaign exists. It remains unclear whether CyberLeek even has such a build, and there is no guarantee the account would follow through on its threat once the stated market cap is met.

Back on October 10, in our article “GTA 6 Leak Escalates: CyberLeek Threatens to Release the Entire Game,” we analyzed those statements and their potential consequences. The new report now provides, for the first time, a concrete assessment of just how far away the financial threshold actually is.

Demand for GTA 6 on Disc Remains

In addition to the cryptocurrency, CyberLeek has also demanded that Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, release GTA 6 on physical media and issue a public apology. If that happens, the leaker claims, they will refrain from releasing the full development build. The account frames the action as a protest against the digitization of the gaming market.

However, this rationale must be viewed independently of any potential financial interests. Simultaneously promoting its own token creates an obvious conflict of interest. If attention surrounding a leak attracts additional buyers, certain token holders could, in principle, benefit from a temporary rise in price. This does not yet prove deliberate market manipulation.

Still, the link between a dramatic threat and a speculative cryptocurrency deserves extra scrutiny. Demanding a disc release does not prove that Rockstar has ruled out physical copies of GTA 6. Official distribution decisions should be judged separately from the account’s claims.

How serious is the threat to the GTA 6 story?

For many players, the cryptocurrency angle matters less than the possible leak of story content. Rockstar continues to withhold numerous details about the shared story of Jason and Lucia.

If a complete build did surface online, key plot points—even the ending—could be spoiled early. Leaked screenshots or summaries would spread fast on social media, and the files wouldn’t even need widespread playthroughs. However, no reliable source has confirmed that a full campaign is available for download.

Current figures indicate that CyberLeeks’ self-imposed financial condition has not been met, but the account could still change its demands or leak more content regardless of the original goal. Therefore, the drop in token value does not mean Rockstar is in the clear.

What Rockstar and Take-Two Can Do About It

Rockstar and Take-Two have already responded to previous CyberLeek releases. Reports claim they have taken legal action to identify those responsible and limit further distribution of confidential content.

The public does not know how far those efforts have progressed. If a large cache of unreleased data does circulate, additional copyright and criminal issues could follow, because publishing internal game files without permission is very different from reporting on officially revealed content.

Whether CyberLeek can follow through is not only a technical question; the legal consequences could also be significant. Rockstar has not issued a new official statement on the current market-capitalization figures.

GTA 6 remains scheduled for release in November

As the debate over CyberLeek continues, the launch window is approaching. GTA 6 is still scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, putting Rockstar in the critical pre-release phase.

Recent events underscore how much the game’s attention is now shaped by unofficial leaks. CyberLeek is trying to link that attention to a financial condition. According to the latest GamesRadar report, however, the cryptocurrency’s value remains far below the required threshold.

After briefly climbing to $7.6 million, market cap slipped back to roughly $2.7 million. So far, the drama has done little to boost the token’s value.

It remains to be seen whether CyberLeek will release more videos or change his demands. The most important claim in the entire case—the alleged possession of a complete, fully playable version of GTA 6—also remains unproven. Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
