GTA 6 leaker surprises fans by announcing his retirement, but one final threat remains.

The months-long series of GTA 6 leaks may have ended—for now. On October 14, 2026, the controversial account CyberLeek suddenly announced it would stop leaking content from the upcoming Rockstar title. The account’s owner still claims to hold material from the final story missions. Even more explosive, they allege a “Dead Man’s Switch” could automatically release major story spoilers under certain conditions.

That target was not met.

CyberLeek Declares the GTA 6 Leak Series Over

The statement appeared on social media and Reddit on October 14 under the title “The End of the Road,” and CyberLeek said it would not release any more content for now.

The account claims that the attention it has received has served its purpose and has already put sufficient pressure on Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive. At the same time, the administrator states that they do not intend to release the ending of the GTA 6 story. The reasoning sounds surprising at first glance.

Leaking the pivotal story content would hurt not only the publisher but also the players who have awaited the game for years, so the most significant spoilers will be withheld. Whether this promise will last remains to be seen; CyberLeek has returned with new videos after extended hiatuses in the past.

Alleged Emergency Mechanism Raises New Concerns

The most unusual part of the statement concerns a so-called “dead man’s switch.” This term generally refers to a mechanism designed to trigger a predetermined action when certain conditions are met.

CyberLeek claims to have set up such a system, which would dump story spoilers if the account operator is removed or silenced. The statement does not explain how the trigger works.

No independent source has confirmed that such a system exists or could automatically publish content. Until verified, the claim should be treated as another threat. CyberLeek appears to be trying to keep pressure on investigators and rights holders, but it is unclear whether this strategy will affect any legal action.

The ending of GTA 6 is allegedly already known

Particularly troubling is the claim that CyberLeek has access to the final missions of GTA 6. The account claims to have already seen these scenes and to know the actual ending of the game. As alleged evidence, it points to recently released clips from later missions.

The account claims these clips were deliberately shown out of context so viewers cannot deduce major plot twists. No independent source has verified that claim. Even if the clips are genuine, they do not prove that the leaker has the full story, including the final ending.

Development builds often include unfinished scenes, alternate sequences, or content that will change. As a result, it remains unclear whether CyberLeek possesses the information the account claims. We are deliberately avoiding specific plot spoilers.

The $30 million demand has failed

On October 10, CyberLeek set an unusual condition: the account claimed it could release a fully playable version of GTA 6 once an associated cryptocurrency reached a $30 million market capitalization.

The plan drew significant criticism because the attention surrounding an unreleased video game was linked to the promotion of a highly speculative financial product. Now CyberLeek admits that the required threshold was not reached, so the alleged full version will not be released.

The account also cites the personal risk of anonymously uploading more than 200 GB of data. That file-size claim comes only from CyberLeek and has not been confirmed as GTA 6’s actual installation size.

We previously reported in our article “GTA 6 Leaker Threatens to Release Full Game, but His Cryptocurrency Crashes” that the token was far below the target. The new statement now makes it clear that, according to the account, the financial condition is no longer expected to be met.

CyberLeek Defends Its Own Cryptocurrency

CyberLeek also addresses the allegations surrounding the token in detail. The account denies deliberately misleading investors, claiming the cryptocurrency was always meant as voluntary support, not a traditional investment. The individual behind the account also states that their own sales were solely related to trading fees.

Critics, however, accuse the project of using the buzz surrounding GTA 6 to artificially inflate interest in the token.

The statement alone does not prove whether misleading information was provided or other laws were broken, so it cannot replace an independent audit of the blockchain transactions. For gamers, the core issue remains that the release of alleged GTA 6 content has been repeatedly tied to financial demands.

Rockstar continues to grapple with the fallout from the leaks

These latest statements come after several weeks of alleged development leaks.

Recent videos claim to show new activities, clothing stores, hair salons, and other Vice City details. We first reported these observations on October 14 in our article “GTA 6 Leak Reveals New Details, and Vice City Could Be More Alive Than Ever.” Rockstar Games has not confirmed the authenticity of the individual scenes.

However, the studio and its parent company, Take-Two, have a strong interest in limiting the spread of unauthorized content. Major story spoilers so close to release could detract from the gaming experience for many fans. There has been no new public statement regarding CyberLeek’s alleged emergency mechanism.

Is the GTA 6 leak saga really over?

For starters, the new statement suggests that CyberLeek does not intend to release any more regular videos, which would be a welcome development for Rockstar and many fans. At the same time, the farewell remains contradictory. On the one hand, the account states that it does not want to spoil the story.

Yet it still threatens to drop those spoilers under certain conditions. Neither the existence of a full GTA 6 build nor the claimed automatic release system has been verified by an independent source, so an imminent reveal of the ending remains unlikely.

Further leaks remain possible. GTA 6 is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Until then, fans can hope that the story of Jason and Lucia stays unspoiled. Share your thoughts in the comments.
