PS5 players face an unusually packed release week at the end of September and start of October. From September 29 to October 2, Sony’s console will see the launch of several new titles, including Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, Minecraft Dungeons 2, and Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition. Combined with several new or newly available PlayStation Plus titles, at least 21 games will launch in just a few days, offering something for nearly every taste. The lineup ranges from major, well-known franchises to role-playing games, strategy titles, horror adventures, arcade action, and smaller indie projects.
The deluge begins on September 29.
Tuesday alone looks exceptionally busy. On September 29, several major PS5 titles launch simultaneously. Highlights include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered. CD Projekt Red’s remastered role-playing classic returns Geralt’s full adventure to modern hardware and bundles the two major expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Graphics, performance, and other elements have reportedly been modernized.
Minecraft Dungeons 2 also launches that day, retaining accessible action and swarming combat while adding new zones and another Minecraft story. Gothic 2 Complete Classic brings another role-playing landmark to PS5, bundling Gothic 2 and the expansion *The Night of the Raven*.

For something more laid-back, *Toem 2* offers a sequel to the photography-based indie adventure. *Transport Fever 3* lets players build and expand complex transportation networks over time.

October also kicks off with numerous new releases
First up on September 30 is *Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire*. The game blends farming with roguelite mechanics and tells the unusual story of Dracula’s son Voltaire, who wants to give up drinking blood.
The pace picks up again on October 1. Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition revives Dynasty Warriors 3 and Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends with a modern makeover. Koei Tecmo is using Unreal Engine 5 to give the series’ signature mass battles a technical overhaul.
End of Abyss, a dark action game where players explore an abandoned underground facility, launches simultaneously. Heartworm, meanwhile, embraces classic survival horror and blends fixed camera angles with more modern perspectives. Additional releases include:

October 1, in particular, shows just how diverse the upcoming PS5 lineup is. Alongside major brands, there are numerous smaller releases that might otherwise easily get lost among the bigger games.
Ace Combat 8 launches on October 2
One of the week’s most prominent titles follows on Friday, October 2. Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is the next major installment in Project Aces’ long-running flight-action series. Players once again take control of modern fighter jets and engage in spectacularly staged aerial battles and various missions.
Following the success of Ace Combat 7, this new installment is one of the week’s major releases. As a result, the most important PS5 launches are spread across multiple days, with new titles arriving Tuesday through Friday.
PlayStation Plus is also changing.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will also see changes. Dungeons of Hinterberg and Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound arrive in more regions on September 29 through PlayStation Plus Extra, as Sony previously announced. Availability still varies by region.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound blends classic 2D gameplay with modern Ninja Gaiden mechanics from the team behind Blasphemous, while Dungeons of Hinterberg mixes action-RPG dungeons with social features set in the Alps. Sniper Elite: Resistance is handled differently. Sony says the game has been available since September 1 as part of the September PlayStation Plus lineup, and you can add this month’s Essential titles to your library until October 5.
An Unusually Busy Week for PS5 Players
In total, at least 18 regular PS5 releases are scheduled within a few days, alongside several PlayStation Plus titles and regional launches. The mix is striking: The Witcher 3 Remastered, Ace Combat 8, and Minecraft Dungeons 2 will likely draw the most attention, while many smaller games compete for visibility.
