PS5 Quietly Adds a New Weekly Wrap Up Feature

Sony appears to be rolling out another new feature for PlayStation 5 owners. Some users have recently discovered a new „Weekly Wrap-Up“ widget inside the PS5 Welcome Hub, offering a quick overview of their gaming activity from the past seven days.

The company has not officially announced the feature yet, making it unclear whether the rollout has only just begun or if it is currently available to a limited number of players.

A Quick Look at Your Weekly Gaming Stats

The new widget highlights several key statistics from the previous week, including your most-played game, total playtime, the number of trophies earned, and even your rarest trophy unlocked during that period.

The feature first came to light after a Reddit user shared a screenshot of the widget. Since then, other players have reported seeing it on their own consoles, while many others say it still hasn’t appeared, even after installing the latest system software.

Rollout Appears to Be Gradual

At the moment, Sony has not shared any details about how the feature is being distributed. The company often releases new PlayStation features in stages, so it’s possible that the Weekly Wrap-Up widget is currently being enabled for selected regions or accounts before a wider rollout.

Another possibility is that the feature is part of an ongoing beta test, although Sony has yet to confirm this.

Welcome Hub Continues to Grow

The Welcome Hub has become one of the most customizable areas of the PS5 user interface. Players can arrange different widgets and personalize the dashboard with information such as console storage, DualSense controller battery status, and friends‘ activity.

The new Weekly Wrap-Up expands those options by giving players a convenient snapshot of their recent gaming habits without needing to open additional menus.

Some Players Still Report Activity Tracking Issues

The arrival of the new widget comes as some PS5 owners continue to experience problems with the „Recently Played“ section. According to user reports, recent activity has not been updating correctly for several weeks on both PlayStation 5 consoles and the PlayStation App.

It remains unclear whether these issues are related to the new feature. Sony has not released an official statement regarding either the activity tracking problem or the rollout of the Weekly Wrap-Up widget.
