CD Projekt RED is continuing to improve Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 5 Pro with a new update focused on graphics and performance.
The update introduces multiple new display modes designed specifically for Sony’s more powerful console, giving players more ways to experience Night City.
New Graphics Modes For PS5 Pro
Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 Pro will offer several dedicated graphics options.
Players will be able to choose between a Quality Mode with sharper visuals and improved image quality, or a Performance Mode aimed at smoother gameplay with a higher frame rate.
There will also reportedly be an upgraded Ray Tracing Mode, improving lighting, reflections, and shadows throughout Night City.
PSSR Improves Image Quality
The PS5 Pro version of Cyberpunk 2077 also takes advantage of Sony’s PSSR technology.
PSSR, short for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, uses AI-powered upscaling to deliver sharper visuals without sacrificing performance.
PS6 Price Debate Has Gamers Saying PS5 Could Be Their Last Console
This means the game can render at a lower internal resolution while still producing a cleaner final image with more detail and better stability during movement.
Better Performance In Busy Areas
The update is also expected to improve performance in crowded sections of Night City.
Large firefights, fast driving sequences, and busy city districts should now run more smoothly on PS5 Pro compared to the standard PS5 version.
This should help make the overall experience feel more stable, especially during more demanding gameplay moments.
Cyberpunk 2077 Continues To Push PS5 Pro Hardware
Cyberpunk 2077 is becoming one of the most technically advanced games available on PS5 Pro.
As more developers begin to support features like PSSR and enhanced ray tracing, Sony’s upgraded console continues to separate itself from the standard PS5.
Cyberpunk 2077 looks set to be one of the biggest showcases for the hardware so far.
