Anscheinend hatte man mit BioShock: Infinite ganz große Pläne gehabt. Wie Bill Gardner von Irrational Games bekannt gab, wurden Inhalte für fünf bis sechs komplette Spiele entfernt!
Wie schon bei Assassin’s Creed II hatte man das Renaissance Setting im Auge, doch da die Jungs von Ubisoft zuvorkamen, verabschiedete man sich von dieser Idee. Als Grund ist angegeben, dass BioShock so nicht mehr Einzigartig gewesen wäre.
“We cut off enough things to make five or six full games. It is alarming. I mean, it pains you when you are talking about about cutting one of your babies but ultimately you got to to look at the final piece. A year later the audience is not going to care and eventually you don’t care.”
